CURIS

The University of Copenhagen registers research and educational publications in CURIS – “Copenhagen University Research Information System”. It is required that all research publications produced by scientists at the University of Copenhagen are registered in CURIS. Other activities related to research and dissemination can also be registered in the system.

Data in CURIS is used for the annual calculation of the Bibliometric Research Indicator (BFI) but is also used for internal reports and evaluations, for the researcher profiles at www.research.ku.dk and for generation of publication lists for individual scientists.

Publication types
There are four main groupings of publications:

Group 1: Publications relevant for the Bibliometric Research Indicator and other evaluations:

  1. Peer-reviewed research articles, including conference articles, letters and reviews
  2. Contributions to books and reports by authorized publishers
  3. Books and reports by authorized publishers
  4. Doctoral dissertations
  5. Patents

Group 2: Non peer-reviewed research articles and conference articles; articles, books, reports, or parts thereof, communicating science to the general public; educational publications; publications emitting from work ordered by governmental authorities (in cases where these don’t belong in Group 1).

Group 3: Posters, published abstracts and lecture papers. Registration of these types of publications is voluntary.

Group 4: PhD theses and Master’s theses. Special workflows exist for registration of these types of publications.
