Courses for researchers and PhDs
Copenhagen University Library organises courses for researchers and PhD students at University of Copenhagen. The courses are continuously announced on the right. You can read more about the courses and sign up by clicking on the course titles.
The university library holds the PhD course Open up your academic publishing toolbox every semester, where the participant is credited with 1 ECTS point. The courses are academically and facultary divided between HUM/SAMF/TEOL/JUR and SCIENCE/SUND.
The course addresses the opportunities and challenges that you as PhD student might face in the process of publishing your research as journal articles, monographs or data publications. The aim of the course is to provide you with knowledge, skills and tools for publishing your research openly and responsibly while fulfilling the demands of your university, funder and research community.
Through different presentations, the participants will get knowledge on topics such as:
- Copyright in publishing
- Creative Commons licenses
- Open access publishing
- Responsible metrics and evaluation of researchers
- Research impact and evaluation
- Management and optimization of researcher profiles
- Data management and the FAIR principles
The course is held in English, and the university library serves tea/coffee, sandwich and cake.
