Introduction to the University of Copenhagen´s over 500 year long history.

The University library on Fiolstræde
Here the beginings of the building, alongside its interesting architecture and history, is presented. Here you can also find a description of the Museum building that can be seen from the windows to the left.

The Nobel Prize
A presentation of the Nobel prize, and researchers with a connection to the University of Copenhagen, who have been awarded the Nobel prize.

Here you can find descriptions of individuals and events from the University of Copenhagen, who have made their mark on the univeristy and Denmark as a whole. 

The first women of the University of Copenhagen
Here you can find some of the women who have written themselves into the history of the University of Copenhagen, as pioneers.

Changing Exhibits
Occasionally we have some temporary exhibits. At the moment and up until September 2024, you can find a poster exhibit about the popular and political process leading to the decision to legalize abortion in Denmark in 1973. The exhibit is produced by the Royal Librarys gender research department.
