Vertebrates

Vertebrates (lat. Vertebrata) are animals with a backbone or cartilage.

They are divided into different classes.

Jawless fish have a rather primitive backbone.

Fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals are the largest classes.

In addition, there is one more class: tunicates, which are an appendage to vertebrates.
