Baroque gardens

Baroque garden art was an artfully architectural style, where natural elements sovereignly were staged for glory and prestige. The grand style for princes and absolutist kings.

Major elements were avenues, bush banquets and parterres eg. as brodieries and water systems in the form of ponds, channels, cascades and fountains.

Examples from the library's pictorial works of the elegantly arranged gardens and parks from the Baroque era.
