Bodil Strubberg

Bodil Strubberg (1883-1975) was educated as a visual artist first at the Arts and Crafts School for Women, later at the Academy of Fine Arts. It was especially as a most talented illustrator of scientific motifs she became widely known and recognized. With impressive accuracy she was able to reproduce the worlds flora & fauna on different scales. At the Agricultural University she worked for several of the academic professionals - thus for J.E.V. Boas zoological textbooks (the later editions from 1916 after Carl Cordts death) and for Sofie Rostrups plant pathology textbooks. She also prepared a large number of training plates & furthermore the distinguihed plates for the second volume of Boas/Paullis large folio The Elephants head, 1925
