The library has unique collections of original garden designs from the end of the 1800's and the next 100 years, made by a number of Danish landscape architects.

Glæsel was the most popular Danish landscape architect at the time. Glæsel's strong point were large landscape gardens - especially inspired by the scenic, English garden style, but often with separated small gardens incorporated. He was responsible for new parks and reorganization of existing parks at manor houses in Denmark as well as in Sweden, he established a number of urban gardens  and he designed a large number of villa gardens.
