WILD AND TAMED – an exhibition about wild animals in captivity

What is a wild animal, when its life is confined to a zoo? What happens to animals´ bodies when humans plan the relationships and the landscapes of the animals? What food is right, what environment is right, and which treatment is correct? These very simple and complex questions fuel the exhibition that you can explore at the moment in the library. Explore the exhibition’s many artifacts that treat the subjects captivity, the environment, feeding and disease, and have a closer look at the remains of wild animals, who lived in captivity and learn their stories.

The exhibition is curated by The Veterinary Collections: https://dvs.ku.dk/ (in Danish) and consists of specimens from the collection of zoo veterinarian Erik Eriksen as well as specimens from The Zoological Collection, The Pathology Collection and The Parasite Collection.

Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 10 a.m to 4 p.m. Remember a valid corona pass and face mask.
