Johannes Tholle became a gardener in 1914 and worked as an independent garden architect from 1918. He was particularly known for his work on the construction of cemeteries. The library has parts of Johannes Tholle's archive, which reflect his interest in cemeteries in particular, but also the construction of gardens and parks in general.
